2022 training calendar
Bureau Veritas in Morocco took part in the first edition of EUROCHAR 2022, which was organized by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Morocco (CFCIM) and focused on "Issues and Challenges of the European Carbon Tax for Moroccan Exporters."
Participants in this conference had the opportunity to discuss the issues and challenges of the carbon tax for Moroccan exporters, as decarbonization has become a major challenge for the Moroccan economy in order to continue to be among the privileged partners of the European Union.
Six European chambers in Morocco attended this meeting, including the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco, the Chamber of Commerce Belgo-Luxembourg in Morocco, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Morocco, the Chamber of Commerce Industry and Services of Portugal in Morocco, the Cámara Espaola de Comercio e Industria de Casablanca, and the CFCIM.
Bruno Pitou, Managing Director of Bureau Veritas Morocco, and Belhouji Abdelaziz, Carbon Assessment Expert at Bureau Veritas, explained to the companies present not only how to assess the environmental impact of their activities, but also how to develop an effective short and medium term action plan to reduce its own emissions.
